Namita Rai weds Sushant Shah
North Water Star had the privilege of capturing the special day of Namita Rai and Sushant as they got married in an Indian style wedding, filled with a traditional atmosphere and charming colours. Everything came together beautifully and the two of them had a night to remember, since everything was handled with flare. Take a look at these photos as we capture the jubilance that dominated the pre-wedding mehendi ceremony and the main wedding, as two of them became one in true customary fashion.
Namita and her family, relatives, and friends seemed to be having a lot of fun during the mehendi ceremony before the big day. Indians are big observers of rituals and customs, and the mehendi ceremony is a ritual that every bride-to-be considers to be a very important aspect of getting married. Every woman at the ceremony also got painted and showed off the mehendi expert’s handy work in a group photo.
The ceremony was to take place at night, but North Water Star was there early to take photos of the beautiful Mandap (a kind of wedding alter for Indian weddings). The Mandap was pink and featured a modernized design and was decorated with white and red flowers.
On the day of the wedding, Namita was all smiles as she was getting ready to wed her love. Sushant arrived first that night and was looking stunning and handsome in his turban and white traditional wedding suit. He came in riding on a majestic white horse!
When Sushant got there, the two of them went through some fun wedding rituals that bring these traditional Indian weddings to life, such as the mangal pheras and saptapadi ceremonies. We were even lucky enough get a close-up photo of Namita kissing his beautiful bride on the cheek – very sweet and intimate. On this night, we truly witnessed the joining of two souls.
